I can't believe that 2011 has already ended. I really can't believe that January 2012 is almost over!! We had a great time over Christmas. We enjoyed time with Luke's side of the family in OKC, Christmas celebrations here and in Texas with my family. At the end of the Christmas break we took the girls to the Sea Life Aquarium in Grapevine.
Hannah was glad to start back to school and Elizabeth and I have been hanging out here at home. The weather makes me crazy...I wish it would snow because I know the girls would have fun, but I don't think that's going to happen. We'll see what Punxsutawney Phil has to say on Thursday:)

Tis' the Season

Elizabeth turned two in October, I can't believe it! She is into everything and nosey like her Daddy (Luke prefers the term "curious"). We think she is so smart and she is a ham bone for sure!

Hannah went to cheer camp in November. They did a cheer and a dance during one of the football games. This is a picture with her friend Addy.

This year for Halloween Hannah was Rapunzel and Elizabeth was a kitty. Hannah's school went Trick or Treating at 8:30 in the morning (haha). We got everyone dressed and were done with our trick or treating by 10AM.

I made the girls Turkey shirts this year. They turned out pretty cute and they both loved wearing them. I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving and is gearing up for Christmas. We already have our tree up, it's the most wonderful time of the year!!

After a long first day at school Hannah wanted to come home and play with her dress up clothes. She picked out a baby blanket and some how wrapped it around like a dress and put on her high heels. Daddy said this was inappropriate, I agree, however it was really funny.

On the way to school the second day...Elizabeth was happier, but didn't realize we were about to drop Sissy off at school. This week Luke has been taking Hannah. Elizabeth has had a melt down when they have left in the morning, but I know it'll just take time for her to adjust. Hannah is enjoying school! She loves her teacher and it making new friends. Mommy & Elizabeth are adjusting:)

First Day of School...

Well...today was the first day of school. We got up on time to get ready (Hannah acutally woke up early). We left the house on time AND made it to school. We packed a lunch-she wanted tuna fish, not sure how popular that will be with the other kids, but she loves it! She picked out a dress to wear and did a great job getting ready this morning. She was so excited to start school. She went in and put her stuff in her cubbie and then went to play with some girls in her class. I hope she has a good day, I'm sure she will. Elizabeth didn't want to leave her and kept saying "Sissy?" when we got into the car. I teared up, but didn't do the ugly cry until after we got to the car:) Today is dragging of course and I can't wait for her to get home.

We went to Open House last night to meet Hannah's teachers and see her classroom. She was so excited! She will start on Thursday. Her Pre-K is all day (8:15-2:50). We took all of her school supplies and they had a mini scavenger hunt in the classroom to find the spots to put them up & she picked her cubbie. I talked her into the cubbie at the end (maybe this will mean we will end up with less mix up :). I liked her teachers very much. She has Mrs. Hughes and also a very sweet aid, whose name I can't remember (I'll find out Thursday). I'm not sure what Elizabeth and I will do without her, but I know Hannah will love it!

Well, the last year has been a whirlwind for sure! We left Warner last August & moved to Moore. I worked as the director at a daycare and Luke worked at a florist and bank. In April we were blessed to move to Tishomingo where Luke is serving as the pastor at First Baptist. We love it here and are very excited. I'll try to post more frequently (which won't be hard to be beat:). I'll catch up on the past year in pictures:)

Well, Miss Elizabeth has been working on crawling for the past few weeks. She has really gotten pretty good at it this last week. The funny thing is that she still stick her right leg out and pushed off with it instead of using her right knee-to each their own I guess. If she had it her way she would be walking :)

Lake Eufala

We went to Lake Eufala last Saturday with The Gilleys and had fun playing around on their jet ski. It was our first time to be on a jet ski and Hannah loved it! Elizabeth was taking a nap on a raft covered by a beach towel for a bit, but she loved to play in the water too!

There is a nice park in Muskogee that has a big water sprinkler, playground, lake & ducks. We went one day to hang out there and Hannah loved it. Elizabeth is so ready to walk because she wants to follow Hannah everywhere! There is also a picture of them being silly & Elizabeth copying Daddy in her high chair.

Elizabeth is sitting up all by herself, which means that now she is almost crawling...I'm not encouraging that :) She is getting bigger & louder everyday! Hannah had fun playing in the sand pile Gary & Misty have at their slab & she loved splashing in puddles that day too! Hannah is also going through this phase with her fake smile for pictures-I'll be glad when she gets out of that! We are gearing up for summer which is always a busy time.
We had a family in our church lose their father/dad to suicide this past week. It had been really hard for them, so please continue to pray for the Cooper family (Kathy, Cole, Kenzie, Caleb). I can't believe it's already MAY! Time flies...love to all!

Hannah's actual birthday was April 17th-this past Saturday, so we had a party here with the Gilleys. We had the birthday girl's request of spaghetti, opened presents & ate some cake. It was rainy and dreary, but Hannah had a great day! I can't believe she is THREE!

I love Easter! Next to Christmas it is my favorite time of the year. We celebrate the life of Christ, the eternal hope & forgiveness-it is so amazing! We had so much fun this year buying dresses, dying Easter eggs & celebrating Easter. We had fun on Saturday dying eggs & then went out to Mema's house to hunt Easter eggs with the Gilleys. We were all very tired at the end of the day!! We had so much fun!!!

Luke and I celebrated being married for 6 years-we can't believe it! Hannah & Elizabeth stayed with Nonnie & Pa in Texas for a few days over spring break & got spoiled real good:) I went down at the end of spring break and stayed for a few days. We were there for what I guess was probably the last big snow of the season (I hope). Our tulip tree started blooming, the weather started getting warmer and Hannah has enjoyed being outside. The girls love to play with each other. We are so blessed!

We had a Valentine's banquet at the church hosted by the youth as a fundraiser-so we were very busy planning for that. Luke and I celebrated Valentine's day the weekend after Valentines and the girls stayed with the Gilleys. This month the girls started taking baths together since Elizabeth could sit up so well and Hannah thinks it is so much fun!

We were busy getting ready for Christmas. Well, I went in to be induced on Sunday, Oct 4th at 5PM & Miss Elizabeth didn't make her arrival until Tuesday, Oct 6th at 6:36PM-it was a long 2 days. We had to do a c-section delivery because she wasn't heading down the birth canal correctly. Thankfully everything turned out fine & we came home late Thursday night during a flash flood-literally. We have been home for a few days and are still adjusting. Elizabeth has her days & nights mixed up so that is wearing us all out, but other than that she is doing great! Hannah is a great big sister & we are glad Nonnie is here to help us. We will be dealing with a longer recovery for me due to the c-section, but we know it is well worth it. We are so glad she is finally here & are excited about the years to come.

We went to the Tulsa Zoo on Friday and had perfect weather. Hannah loves going to the zoo, but I think she was more excited about riding the Zoo's train & seeing the Tigers than anything. This was our last Zoo trip with only one kiddo.

We went to Virginia for a week to visit Israel & April. We had a great time seeing them & their home. They showed us around Virginia & we spent a few days in DC. It was a good time for us to get away & we enjoyed it. We probably won't be able to take many vacations during our busy summertime, but we were glad to take advantage of it this year.

We are having a fun summer. We tried planting some veggies this year...we'll see how they turn out. Hannah helped me plant Zinnias. We are staying busy keeping up with the yard. Things are also busy at church. We are taking a trip to Virginia next week to see Israel & April-we are very excited! I hope Hannah does OK with her first flying experience :)

I know these are very late. Hannah turned 2 on April 17th & I'm just now putting up pictures. She had a blast and is still enjoying playing with her toys. We had a party here with friends & family. She is growing up way to fast!

We went to youth camp last week & we were at Super Summer the week before that. We are glad to be home and hope we can rest a little.

Over spring break we decided to meet Pa & Nonnie in OKC for a few days. We went to the Botanical Gardens, The Zoo, The bombing Memorial & just relaxed. We had dinner with Pop & Mammy one night & Hannah loved swimming at the hotel. We decided since I'm still dealing with this morning/all day sickness to not go too far from home. Later in the week Hannah went back to Texas with Nonnie & Pa. Luke and I spent a few days downtown just relaxing, eating out & watching movies to celebrate our 5th anniversary.

Christmas was busy as usual. We had fun opening gifts with the Gilley's a few days before Christmas! Nonnie & Pa came up on Tuesday before Christmas and stayed until Christmas day-then we all went to Texas to celebrate at Granny & Grandan's. Fall...Winter

Fall brought on a plague of leaves in our yard. You couldn't even tell we had grass under it all, but Hannah had fun playing in them! Luke did NOT have fun cleaning it all up (and the gutters were full too).

Last Saturday we went to the Muskogee Christmas parade-it was fun! This week Hannah & I have both been sick (go figure).
Christmas is just around the corner and we are excited about it! Christmas is my favorite time of year & I always think it's over too early. I think Thanksgiving should be in October-let's cancel Halloween:)

Hannah is talking up a storm & she is so much fun. She is such a sweet girl & so beautiful. We are having fun watching her grow. Tonight we hope to go caroling with our church (weather permitting) at the nursing home. I'm trying to get all of my Christmas card & presents in the mail today, so I'd better run!

We had a Fall Festival at the church last Saturday. Hannah had so much fun-I mean, winning candy and stuffed animals is right up her ally:) She is jibber jabbering like crazy-we can make out a lot of it, but occasionally we have no earthly idea what she is saying! This week Luke & I are going to a conference in OKC and Hannah is staying with MiMi, Gee & Ashy (Misty, Gary, & Ashley) Nonnie and Pa are coming up to get her Friday night and she'll stay with them until Thanksgiving Day. Luke and I hope to get a way and relax a bit next week. We will also see April & Isreal AND Kristen & Jeremy.....we are excited to see everyone! The holidays are my favorite time of the year. They always pass too quickly. I think we should have Thanksgiving at the beginning of November.....Luke has told me I can't listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving.....so, he'd better be ready for Christmas music 24/7 after that :)

The Halloween Goblin brought Hannah a princess tricycle. She had a lot of fun playing outside & learning how to "drive" the tricycle. We went trick or treating early because we had an away football game Friday. We went to visit some of the homes of church people. We also stopped by the Fire station-Hannah loved to look at the truck with the lights flashing-she wasn't to sure about the firemen :) Her favorite candy was a tie between M&M's & Twizzlers. We went to watch our Warner Eagles beat Porum Friday-Go EAGLES!

The last few months have been really busy for us. We had some beautiful flowers around the house and Luke took some great pictures of them. We have a Tulip tree that bloomed, a fig tree (that actually produced figs) & a ton of roses.

Hannah LOVES her baby doll, she plays with it all the time. She even wants to hold it while she's going to sleep at night...so Luke and I rock her & the baby. The baby has to always have her "blankie" too. She is pretty cute, though:)

Thursday we went to OKC to see the Holmes'. We stopped by Granny Holmes' to play for a little bit, then we went up to Edmond to see Mammy, Pop, Caleb, Abby, Sarah, Jolie & Summer-it was a busy day. Hannah had a great time playing with everyone!

Friday we worked outside & played in the sprinkler-Hannah loved it. She kept trying to get a drink out of it, but it kept going up her nose!

Greenleaf State Park

Yesterday afternoon we decided to head to the lake for a bit. We went to Greenleaf State Park. I'll admit I'm not crazy about swimming in water if I can't see the bottom right off the shore. I think we stayed in for about 15 minutes. We then got out & sat around eating goldfish & feeding the geese-they were MEAN to each other (pulling out each other's feathers & such-you'd have thought you were in a baptist business meeting)! They really like Wheat Thins. Lake Eufala was better last week-we will go there next time:) We figure since we live up here we should enjoy summer at the lakes.

Well, my best friend from high school got married this weekend. We went down for a weekend full of wedding stuff:) I had a great time & I'm so happy for Susan. This is a picture of us at the wedding-it was Hannah's first wedding.

My parents also have a kitten that has wandered up to their house. She is so cute & Hannah just loved her. I think the kitten was fearing for her sweet little life, but Hannah just couldn't squeeze that little baby enough :)

We took our students to Lake Eufala last night for a cookout. It was overcast and it did rain on us a little bit (but we were already wet:).

We went to Georgia on a trip with our youth handbell choir. We had a great time-here are a few photos from the trip. They played 6 different concerts, went to 6 Flags, a Braves game, & white water rafting down the Ocoee River (the '96 Olympic Course-yikes!?!). I fell out of the raft twice during crazy rapids. The first time we all fell out except our guide, the 2nd time the guide & I were the only ones to fall out. I came up crying the first time-the 2nd time I was just mad that I fell out again. I lost my oar & I just sat in the boat the rest of the trip, ha. It was pretty fun! We have 17 handbell player & we took 15 sponsors. We had a great time getting to know the kids and the sponsors....

Well, we are finally in Warner. We are in our first new house and we are trying to unpack. Things are SO busy this summer with VBS, youth trips, children's camp & youth camp. I have a full calendar already until August:)

Moving & Buying & Packing...Oh my

Life is officially crazy at this moment. We went in view of a call to FBC Warner on April 20th & they offered Luke the job of Associate/Student Pastor. We put a contract on a house the next day (yikes!) and we close on the house May 23rd. We have a lot going on right now, but we are very excited to move to Warner. We love the pastor and his gorgeous wife-we are really feeling blessed that God has put us together with them! Pray for us as we are going through this transition! I'll keep updates on here...

I was talking to Kristen yesterday and we were talking about wisdom-which I feel like I'm lacking at the moment. So, after we got off the phone I was doing some reading in James 1, Proverbs 3, Proverbs 31.....Right now in this place we're in I feel so lost. Luke said yesterday it's like being in a cave just feeling around in the dark-that is exactly how I feel. It's so hard to be in this time of waiting and not know exactly what God is doing. I told Luke for the past few years he'd been preaching his central theme was "God, I trust you."....well, now that's all we can do.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ad God, who give generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts i like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."
James 1:5-8

So we just have to ask for it and He gives us wisdom-novel idea, huh?

I truly just want to be in a place where we can minister to people who are hurting and who are in need of a Savior. I want to build lasting relationship and make a difference in people's lives-not spend all of my time trying to squelch gossip and rumors, but teaching people who are hungry for the Word. When I was in high school and I surrendered to the ministry I didn't picture it like it's been-if that makes sense. I thought I'd be in a place giving showing people the gift of salvation-showing people who really were hungry for the Word-possibly being a missionary to people who've never head of Christ.....In reality serving at a church has been so full of sinful Christians who think because they are a "christian" they are always right and know God and don't need to be closer to Him. Most of the time instead of feeding hungry people I'm wishing I could shake people until they snapped out of what ever dream world they're living in. It has made me sad to realize that most churches are full of people who think they are doing the "right" thing, being "good" people-when they don't realize that they are still in need of a Savior-it's a continual thing. Just because we walk down the isle or get saved at youth camp doesn't mean it's over and done with. I want to show people that. Some of the people who are most in need of a Savior sit in a pew every Sunday singing "Have Thine Own Way" or "Change My Heart O God".

"God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light we have fellowship with one another , and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

Now that Hannah is (apparently) an expert crawler my life has changed dramatically. My brother told me I'd wish she was still just a little baby laying in the floor-man, was he right. She pulls up on EVERYTHING (regardless of whether it will hold her or not) and she is even standing by herself (not holding on to anything)-which is a sign that she'll soon be walking........can it be that my sweet baby is closing in on her first year of life-I can't believe it! Be sure to bring me some Kleenex to her First Birthday party :^) Nothing else is going on-we are just waiting for God to show us what He is doing & praying that He'll do so soon! I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! Love y'all

Well, Christmas is over. I can't believe that Hannah will be a year old in April-time is really flying. The holidays seemed to fly by this year, but I think I say that every year. I love Christmastime-the atmosphere is so nice.
This year things are a bit different since we're in transition. We've been living at my parents house for 3 months now. I remember when we moved in-we just knew it'd be for only a few weeks, but God is taking more time than we thought to take us to the right church.
We went to interview at a church in East Texas this past week. It was great! The people on the committee seemed to be really focused on finding God's man for the position (youth pastor/education minister) and not just filling it with a name. We liked the town and the church. It is a smaller town, but I could feel the sense of community there and do hope we'll be a part of something like that soon. I will say I have a real peace about this church that I haven't had with other churches we've talked to in the past few months, but I don't know exactly what that means yet-I guess time will tell. The last church was so hard for us. We are glad that we've had this season of rest, but really look forward to being back in full-time ministry.

August was a busy month for us...Hannah started eating "real" food: so far just carrots, peas and rice cereal, rolling over, grabbing her toes, sitting up a lot...talking all the time:) lots of "gooo", "gaaa", "ahhh", "bbb", "mmm" and "wwww".
At this months check up Hannah weighed in at 13 lbs 1 oz 24.5 inches long
